Dress Like The Best

By Madelyn Hopkins

This spring is all about one item: the dress. Dresses are a timeless piece that are easy to accessorize. Going out on a nice date? Throw on your favorite slip dress with heels and a fun necklace or pair of earrings, and you’ve got a look that could kill.

Dresses rock because there are so many different styles. If you’re feeling bloated, throw on a shift dress like the one pictured below! However, some dresses also let you show off your curves for days when you’re feeling more confident. No matter who you are or what your style is, there’ll always be some kind of dress out there to fit the look you’re going for.

Another great thing about dresses is that they’re so easy to wear in crazy weather. Sometimes, especially in Ohio, it can be hard to know how to dress. One minute it’s raining, the next the sun is shining and it’s 80 degrees. One of my favorite things about wearing dresses is that I can wear one with a jacket and over-the-knee boots for casual daytime wear, but then swap the boots for a pair of heels and a cute clutch and I’m ready to go out!

All the “trends” of spring 2017 can be incorporated into a dress. Neutrals, elegance, stripes—all of it can be incorporated into a dress. And, the best part is that you don’t have to bust your budget to find a cute dress. Every store you go in to will likely carry at least ten dresses to choose from, if not more!

So next time you’re going to throw on your favorite pair of jeans, rethink and look through your closet. You may think “it’s too cold” or “I can’t rock that,” but you’d be surprised! When styled well, a simple dress can go a long way.
